Damroo Details : This Damroo/ Damaru is made in 90% silver. It has 2 Five Mukhi Rudraksha beads of 9 mm on either side capped in silver.

The Damroo is also known as the monkey talking drum. Damroo, The Drum of Shiva, is believed to be the first instrument given to humanity by the Lord himself; many sadhus carry it. This a two-sided drum with an hour glass shape. It is a hand held drum, played by twisting the wrist vigorously which causes the knot at the end of the string to beat the two ends of the drum.

The Damaru is very common throughout the Indian subcontinent. The Damaru / Damru is known as a power drum, and when played, it is believed to generate spiritual energy. It is associated with the Hindu deity Shiva.
